The Arabian Travel Market 2026 (ATM) commenced on Monday, September 14, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and will bring together the global tourism and travel community for four days. This event takes place at a critical time for the global tourism industry, which is seeking to revive business relationships and create new opportunities after a period of disruption.

Focus on Innovation and Technology

This edition of the Arabian Travel Market, titled “Travel 2040: Advancing New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology,” will explore the key forces impacting tourism, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, changing traveler expectations, destination resilience, smart mobility, and long-term sustainable growth.

Daniel Kurts, Regional Director of RX Global in the UAE, announced at the opening of the event: “I am pleased to open the doors of the Arabian Travel Market 2026 to the global tourism industry in Dubai. This year is particularly important as we witness ongoing evolution in the industry and ATM itself. From the launch of ATM Travel Tech and a broader focus on innovation to the conference program that examines trends and opportunities shaping global tourism, there is much to look forward to.”

Introduction of New Technology

Technology at ATM 2026 is highlighted by the introduction of ATM Travel Tech, a new joint event featuring over 180 participants from 30 countries across two halls. This platform focuses on bringing together technology companies, innovators, and industry leaders to explore solutions impacting the travel ecosystem.

Among the key attractions of this event is the 850-square-meter Technology and Innovation Hub, showcasing developments related to artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, robotics, financial technology, and green technologies. Additionally, the Future Stage will be dedicated to discussions on artificial intelligence, automation, digital transformation, financial technology, and next-generation travel platforms.

The event program will kick off with a speech by Dr. Marwan Al Zarouni, CEO of Artificial Intelligence at the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, discussing the role of artificial intelligence in reshaping travel. Senior representatives from major companies such as Sabre, Trip.com, and Visa will also address topics such as artificial intelligence, online travel agencies, and the tourism supply chain.

Knowledge exchange will be a focal point of this event, with the Global Stage and Experience Hub hosted by tourism leaders, policymakers, and technology experts throughout the four days. The Global Stage will begin with ministerial discussions on how to build a resilient industry through collaboration.

This event will also introduce a fresh brand identity that signifies a transformation from traditional exhibitions to an annual platform for communications, ideas, and business opportunities in the global travel and tourism ecosystem.
