Dual iPhone; Boom or Bust in the UAE Market?

توسط تحریریهٔ خبرگزاری امارات اینترنشنال 2 دقیقه زمان مطالعه 0

The United Arab Emirates, a country that has always been interested in new technologies, is now on the verge of the dual iPhone entering its market. This product, which is set to be launched on October 16 at an initial price of 8,499 dirhams (about $2,300), can reach a price of 13,600 dirhams for models with more memory. These prices are at the highest level of smartphone costs in the UAE, and for this reason, the success of this product in this market is questionable.

Is the UAE market ready to welcome it?

However, some experts believe that the dual iPhone will sell well in the economy of the second largest Arab country. One technology analyst in the UAE points to optimism regarding Apple's ability to sell this product, stating: "The UAE is one of the markets where the dual iPhone makes sense." This expert continues: "There is a high willingness for luxury technologies here, and people quickly adopt and use new devices. With a large base of iPhone users in the UAE, there is a lot of curiosity about products that are different from what we have seen in recent years."

Challenges Ahead for Apple

However, he notes that the dual iPhone will initially be seen more as a luxury and aspirational product. "An interesting topic to follow is whether Apple can turn foldable phones from a niche category into a mainstream product or not." He also assesses the price of this product as lower than expected, saying: "This price is similar to what other brands are asking for their foldable phones."

Furthermore, an Apple enthusiast in Dubai, who owns a large collection of rare Apple products, states that he also intends to buy the dual iPhone. He likens this product to Apple products from the early 90s, saying: "This phone reminds me of the PowerBook Duo line, which could transform from a laptop to a desktop, and similarly, the dual iPhone could function as a compact iPhone or a mini iPad device."
