Fitzpatrick mentioned in his remarks at Wentworth, the venue for the PGA Championship, "To be completely honest, I don't feel comfortable right now." He referred to changes in his personal life and added that the birth of his child in August has altered his perspective on traveling to Dubai. He also said, "A few things have changed for me, and this has impacted my decision-making."

Fitzpatrick added, "I'm sure that if the tour goes to Dubai, they will have received the best advice, but right now I can't easily accept this trip." Meanwhile, the PGA Championship, which is considered one of the key events of the European Tour, is currently underway, and Fitzpatrick is grouped with Shane Lowry, the new Irish Open champion, and Tyrrell Hatton. He has described this event as the best on the tour and emphasized its importance.
