Youth in Crisis: Rising Anxiety and Mental Health Issues in Children

توسط تحریریهٔ خبرگزاری امارات اینترنشنال 2 دقیقه زمان مطالعه 2

In recent years, alarming reports from hospital emergency rooms about the increase in self-harm, eating disorders, and emotional anxieties among youth have been published. Children as young as six years old are seeking treatment due to mental health crises, which is a serious warning for society.

Increase in Emergency Room Visits

Research shows that the number of children visiting emergency rooms for mental health issues has significantly increased. This is particularly important in situations where adolescents are under pressure due to academic, social, and economic stresses. Parents and teachers need to pay attention to these changes and actively participate in identifying signs of mental health crises in children and adolescents.

Need for Support and Awareness

While the mental health system is under severe pressure, the need for psychological and educational support for youth is felt more than ever. Educational and counseling programs should be designed to help young people cope better with the challenges of modern life. Additionally, promoting a culture of acceptance and dialogue about mental health issues can help reduce the stigma surrounding this topic.

Society must recognize that the mental health of youth is a serious issue that requires immediate action. Without the necessary support, mental health crises may escalate into more serious issues that will affect not only the individual but the entire community.
