Hotel Selection Criteria
The hotel rankings are conducted by the Academy of the 50 Best Hotels in the World, which includes over 800 voters from 13 geographical regions. This panel consists of hoteliers, travel journalists, hospitality educators, business travelers, and experienced luxury travelers. Each voter has the right to select seven hotels based on their experiences from the past three years.
In this list, Rosewood Hong Kong was named the best hotel in the world for the second consecutive year. This 65-story hotel, with views of Victoria Harbour, features 413 rooms and suites, 11 restaurants and bars, and extensive wellness facilities including the Asaya spa by Guerlain.
In the subsequent ranks of this list, Capella Bangkok and Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok are alongside Atlantis The Royal. These hotels are ranked second and third, respectively. Given the year-to-year changes in this ranking, Atlantis The Royal has quickly risen from 44th place in 2023 to fourth place in 2026.
