Fly Dubai in Dubai is preparing to reach an important milestone in its fleet. As one of the active airlines in the region, the company currently has 98 Boeing 737 aircraft and with the delivery of 11 more by the end of 2026, its number of aircraft will exceed 100.
Fleet Development and Service Quality Improvement
Alongside the growth in the number of aircraft, Fly Dubai is also making further investments in updating its fleet. The company has announced a new plan to upgrade its cabin, under which 21 of the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will be equipped with lie-flat business class seats and larger overhead bins.
The combination of fleet growth and cabin service improvement is particularly important, as Fly Dubai is no longer just looking to expand its network, but is striving to provide a consistent and high-quality product in its growing fleet.
Fleet Details and Future Plans
Fly Dubai currently operates 98 Boeing 737 aircraft, including 25 737-800, 69 737 MAX 8, and 4 737 MAX 9. The company has announced that the delivery of 11 more aircraft in 2026 will include 7 737-9 MAX and 4 737-8 MAX, thus bringing the total number of its aircraft over 100.
This fleet expansion coincides with the rapid development of its service network. Fly Dubai now serves over 125 destinations in 56 countries and has launched more than 100 new routes that previously had no direct air connection to Dubai.
Fly Dubai's business model is built on connecting Dubai with markets that may not support the large or numerous aircraft that Emirates requires. Adding aircraft allows the company to increase flight frequency, open new markets, and deploy capacity in areas where demand exists.
Fly Dubai plans to start its flights to Pokhara in Nepal from September 23 and is also working on restoring services and increasing capacity in its existing network.
