America, in its latest statements regarding the political situation in Sudan, announced its support for a swift transition to civilian rule and emphasized that there is no future for the two generals involved in this country. Masad Bolus, senior advisor to President Trump on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs, mentioned this at an Arab media summit held in Dubai.
America's Position on Sudanese Generals
Masad Bolus stated that the United States supports a political process that does not include General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the commander of the Sudanese army, and General Mohamed Dagalo, the commander of the Rapid Support Forces. He clarified: "There is no future for either of these two leaders in the country." Bolus emphasized that Sudan's future lies in a civilian transition that must be carried out quickly and cohesively.

The Necessity of Implementing the Roadmap
Bolus also noted that President Trump has been very clear about Sudan, and addressing the humanitarian crisis in the country remains a priority for the United States. He also emphasized that Washington is committed to a roadmap developed with its allies to end the conflicts in Sudan, although he acknowledged that this initiative has not achieved tangible results over the past year. He said: "We all bear the responsibility that this roadmap has not yet yielded results."
Bolus added: "If we want to achieve real results on the ground for the Sudanese people, our roadmap must be implemented." These statements come as the humanitarian situation in Sudan is critically urgent and requires immediate action.
