The Arabian Travel Market 2026 took place from September 14 to 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, featuring a wide presence of the international travel and tourism community. This event, marking its 33rd anniversary, brought together representatives from the United Arab Emirates, India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Turkey, Bahrain, South Africa, Qatar, the United States, and China, showcasing over 55 destination booths and representatives from various tourism sectors including tourism officials, airlines, hospitality brands, and technology companies.
Key Announcements and Collaboration Opportunities
The presence of senior executives and procurement specialists was a highlight of this edition, reflecting a high level of confidence in the tourism industry. Issa Kazim, CEO of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing, emphasized the importance of this event, stating: "Arabian Travel Market 2026 once again provided a unique opportunity for the global tourism industry to come together in Dubai, strengthening the city's position as a safe and connected global destination with strong participation from local and international stakeholders."
Innovations and Developments in the Tourism Industry
During this event, several important announcements were made, including the launch of the national tourism brand "Visit Emirates" and the online platform "Grand Tour Group of Emirates," allowing tourists to experience a seamless journey across the seven emirates. Additionally, Emirates Airline signed 11 memorandums of understanding with regional and global destinations, which will help strengthen relationships in various fields.
Alongside this, Rotana announced the next phase of its regional growth strategy with the development of 40 hotels and over 8,300 rooms. Furthermore, Abu Dhabi's air and rail connectivity companies will collaborate to create a seamless air and rail travel experience.
With the theme "Travel 2040: Advancing New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology," the event explored how artificial intelligence and digital transformation will impact the future of tourism. This edition included over 90 sessions and 28 live demonstrations focused on technology and innovation.
The next Arabian Travel Market will be held from May 3 to 6, 2027, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
