Details of Macklemore's Removal
Ed Sheeran emphasized in a statement that he is not responsible for Macklemore's removal and that the decision was made by the tour organizer. Sheeran wrote in an Instagram post that Macklemore's contract was terminated by the Messina Group, the tour organizer. He also noted that some concert venues announced that they would cancel their shows if Macklemore continued to collaborate.

Meanwhile, Finneas, the famous artist and brother of Billie Eilish, along with Irish artists Aaron Rowe and Bioga and Lukas Graham from Denmark, announced their exit from Sheeran's tour. Finneas wrote in a post: "Artists should not remain silent when speaking for the oppressed." He also expressed his support for the people of Palestine.
Reactions to the Decisions Made
The group Bioga, which is an Irish music group, stated in a statement that they are withdrawing from the tour following Macklemore's removal due to pressure from Zionist lobbies. The group referred to their 10-year friendship with Sheeran and emphasized that they are committed activists for justice. Aaron Rowe also explained his reason for leaving the tour by discussing his country's history and criticizing economic and political powers.
Sheeran noted in his Instagram post that he does not publicly speak about political issues, especially regarding the Gaza war. He stated: "I am not complicit and I have my personal views on this shocking conflict. Just because I do not speak publicly does not mean I am not concerned."
Macklemore, known for his songs including "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us," has always supported the people of Palestine. He recently released a song titled "Hind's Hall" in memory of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl whose death sparked a wave of global outrage.
