Surveys indicate that in the United States, concerns about the negative impacts of AI on jobs and the expansion of energy-consuming and polluting data centers have increased. Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, has described the GTC conference as the "Super Bowl and Woodstock of AI" and believes that the benefits of this technology far outweigh its drawbacks.

The GTC conference will take place from November 30 to December 3, just weeks after the U.S. midterm elections that will determine control of Congress. During this time, Jen-Hsun Huang has visited the White House several times to discuss AI-related issues and chip export controls with President Donald Trump.
Huang stated at a business and technology conference that many people are talking about irresponsible concerns regarding AI and responded to criticisms of the technology. He also had a phone call with Trump, telling him that he does not want irrational fears to hinder the United States' competitiveness with China in the field of AI.
Criticism and New Proposals
Criticism of Huang's approach to these concerns continues. Independent Senator Bernie Sanders announced that he intends to introduce legislation calling for a halt to the development of superintelligent AI until appropriate regulations are established. Sanders has also expressed concerns about the potential loss of jobs due to AI development.
NVIDIA, recognized as a leader in the production of GPUs, CPUs, and logic designs, has made significant advancements in AI in recent years and has about 42,000 employees. Meanwhile, some believe that AI has created jobs that did not previously exist, and the increasing demand for data centers has led to a need for electricians, construction workers, and water experts.
NVIDIA's Revenue Growth
Despite negative public reactions to AI, NVIDIA's revenue has significantly increased. The GTC conference website has stated that this event is an opportunity to connect with policymakers, developers, researchers, and industry partners to learn how AI contributes to advancing the U.S. economy. Huang's keynote speech on December 1 is also expected to attract attention.
