A recent poll indicates that the majority of Americans believe the war with Iran has failed. This poll also reflects significant changes in support for Israel. The results of this poll, conducted by Marquette Law School, show that only 13 percent of participants believe the goals of the war with Iran have been achieved, while 87 percent disagree.
Public Discontent and Impact on Midterm Elections
This poll, which surveyed 1,023 adults nationwide, shows that only 21 percent of respondents believe this war has been worth its costs. Additionally, 79 percent feel that the costs of the war have not been justified. The decrease in discontent with the war with Iran from 24 percent in April to 10 percent in September also indicates a shift in public priorities.

Decrease in Support for Israel and Its Consequences
Public support for Israel is also declining. According to the poll, only 29 percent of participants have a positive view of the country, while 59 percent hold a negative opinion. This significant decrease began in March 2025, when 43 percent of respondents had a positive view of Israel. Furthermore, most respondents in September stated that the United States provides too much assistance to Israel.
Regarding economic impacts, the poll shows that many Americans hold former President Donald Trump responsible for rising inflation rates and high gasoline prices. Trump's approval rating has now dropped to 37 percent, down from 40 percent in July. These developments point to the challenges Trump and the Republican Party face ahead of the midterm elections on November 3.
Finally, in the realm of new technologies, 64 percent of respondents believe that artificial intelligence is harmful to society. While Trump supports artificial intelligence and describes growing concerns as a "sick conspiracy theory," this issue has also become one of the key topics in the elections. Overall, both political parties face a 64 percent discontent rate regarding how they are managing their affairs in Congress.
